Gravity embalming refers to a historical method of embalming where the arterial injection of embalming fluid was achieved using gravity rather than mechanical pumps. A hose would be attached to the bottom of the funnel and an arterial tube attached to the other end. The tube would be inserted into the artery, and depending on how high or low the funnel was hanging would determine how fast the embalming fluid would inject into the artery. The glass funnel has a few chips on the bottom and the metal hanger is in nice condition.
